Technology affecting Student???

Technology has changed rapidly in the last few years, but how has it affected students everyday lives? Well there are many answers to their questions, to many to count actually. I have come on with 2 good and bad reasons technology changing has affected student lives.

The first pro is the changes made to technology gives students more resources to learn from. When doing research nowadays, students wouldn’t have to look for different books and go to different places like before. This is because, thanks to the internet, your questions are answered with a simple search. For example researching this very topic I went to different sites and asked various questions, each being answered with a single search and click!

The second pro is changing technology helps students as they can at their own pace, and pretty much anytime they like. Many students work at faster and slower paces, this use to be a problem because students can’t find the right material and research sources, but thanks to Technology changing in classrooms that has changed. A fair example of this is when I study at home, my study pace is not typically average, but I have a problem where I like to do many jobs and clubs at school. Doing these things, sometimes affects the amount of time I spend in a classroom doing my work.  Like I said before because of  technology I can do my work at home, the library, at relatives houses and many other places.

So those are the two good reasons, now let’s look at the down side to this. The first con of technology changing  in classrooms is it minimises social interactions. Meaning, that student may talk to each other less as they will be continuously engaged in their devices. This may be a good thing but as  I see, kid not talking in classrooms. Well that’s not normal is it. I can prove this statement as when I am on my chromebook at school I don’t have to urge to tap the shoulder of the person sitting next to me and start a conversation on any topic possible.

The second con is being on a device can be distracting. You always have the thought of what’s the answer to this or I wonder what’s happening over there. It takes a second to click on to another sight or do a search on something that’s not school work. This also may lead to things like scams and other nonsense that can be found online. I can prove this because sometimes even when we are on task a question will be said and I will HAVE TO google it and find the answer. Even if it’s not related to me, just look at my history!

So, in conclusion, both sides of the argument are reasonable. I can’t seem to choose a side, so I guess this leaves it up to you. What do you think? Is technology changing affect students?

What Makes A Good Superhero

I want to be a good superhero when I am older but how can I be a good superhero. Do you know what makes a good superhero. No, well in this piece of writing right here I will be giving you 3 things that make a good superhero so stay tuned.

The First step to becoming a good superhero is by risking you own life to help other. Imagine a cat is stuck up in a tree branch that is about to break. Instead of waiting for the fire department, you climb up a ladder and sit on the tree branch to save the cat. That’s what I call a superhero.

Secondly I would like to point out that a good superhero won’t save people or do good things for the fame. I mean even though lots of people would want your autograph and have you on magazine covers and do photo shoots but a good superhero would know better and denied it. If I was a superhero I wouldn’t do it for the fame I would do it to help people and make the world a better place.

Lastly I would like to say that a good superhero always has a superhero sidekick and a superhero team. A good super isn’t afraid to admit there wrong and ask for help that’s kinda what make them so super special. For example when you have no clue of what to do ask people for help and maybe they have a plan and you could consider their ideas at time too.

So there you have 3 different way on how to be or become a good superhero. These three easy things are good to keep on you mind even if you are not a superhero you could help anyone in your very own everyday life. I for one think that we are all are superhero.

My Favourite Food

Pizza would be great right about now, actually pizza is good anytime. Well I don’t know about you but pizza is my nickname. I love pizza dessert pizza hawaiian pizza my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Firstly I would like to say that pizza is delicious every human being I know would agree with it. Pizza can have dairy from the cheese vegetables from the sauce and sometimes pineapple carbs from the bread and protein if you have meat on it. As you can see this has almost everything on the food table so I would say that pizza is on your balanced diet.

Secondly pizza can come with anything you want. It’s a classic italian food and comes with many different toppings. One things that I would say is pretty interest are dessert pizza. They come will chocolate sauce marshmallows and lollies you want. I would say it’s so sweet you could get cavities just looking at them.

Finally I would like to say that Pizza is a dish that you can have if your on the go or at a party. You can have it for lunch or for dinner, and it’s a great dish to share. I mean imagine you have to make a dish for a family dinner and it’s too late to go by some chicken just go and pick up some pizza on the way home.

So there you have, as you can see from the paragraphs above I know my pizza so take it from PIZZA IS DELICIOUS. Whether they give you cavities our is to spices pizza is a weird different thing. I hope you enjoyed!

Favourite Things About P.E.S

Hello welcome to this piece of writing I hope you will enjoy. At Pt England School we do a lot of amazing things, and today I will be telling 4 different things I like to do at P.E.S! Read on to find out more.

The first favourite thing I like to do at Pt England school is feed our long finned eels. Last year in july we got a bunch of long finned eels, they are very aggressive and we have learned heap from them. On the first day we had a professional person come his name was dave he brought the eels put them in and even made sure that the eels had the right type of water to swim in. I was super inspired so I went home that night and wrote a presentation about eels I even drew a picture, and it got read and a few months later I go to do a speech in front of the whole school. So that’s one of the things I enjoy doing at Pt England School!

The Second Thing I enjoy doing is helping do jobs around the school. It make me feel like I am apart of this school, it also make me feel like nice and happy that I can always help out and around the school. Being at Point England School means you get a lot of opportunities and I will never miss an opportunity to enhance my future career.

The Third favourite thing I like at Pt England is doing the Robotics Rōpu. In Robotics Rōpu we are helping solve a miniature pollution problem. Our school has started a bincurity project and the problem is that bincurity our recycling team needs help compressing soft plastic. They usually do it with their hands and push it down, but it isn't very hygienic so we are coming up with a solution. That's what we help do on Wednesday Lunchtimes. I like Robotics because we get to create and learn with the engineers from fisher & Paykel healthcare. That’s my third favourite things to do at Pt England School.

My fourth favourite thing to do at Pt England is Extension. At Extension learn about a variety of things it is really fun, I enjoy expanding my learning, and creating something to share with other in the end. In Extension we learn we create and we also share, we have fun trips like going to gravity and kpmg. I our extension group is made up of about 18 students and Mrs Lagitupu, our amazing teacher she Encourages, inspires and pushes us to do our very best and show our true potential all the time. That’s one of the many reasons I enjoy going to Extension, at Point England School!

So that’s for favourite things I like to do at Point England School. I love this school it amazing, helpful and caring and above all we think it always better together. What about your school?

Capture the flag

WOOOOW!!!!! I have just had the best experience EVER!!!!! Just joking  this morning room 10 went outside for a game of capture the flags but we didn’t really do anything except wait. We had to wait for our turn and we had to wait for the cones to be set up wow.

The worst part was that  I also got my feet muddy for nothing because the field was really muddy. I am usually cool with it but today I am just mad really really  mad it make me want to MMMMMMMMM…. Never mind.

Now we have to write a recount about what happened and that is even worst. Today is just not my day. I hate it when it is not my day sigh. I can’t wait till school is over.

I also feel really stink because I was only  in one of the round and heaps of people got two rounds, life is so not fair. Guess what else the game I was in was like only 1 minute life goes fast when your play a game. Probably because we had to reset the cones.

Back to the story once we got back to class there was a live stream call out I thought maybe that would get the game off my mind but it was just for the ending scene sigh sigh sigh.

And now I feel left out because heaps of people are talking to each other and I am sitting here being bored. I hated this experience sigh. I might not come school tomorrow because it was really cold outside and now my feet are freezing and I can only walk when I tip toe.

So there the worst school experience I have ever had in my whole time at school so far well I guess I haven’t spent much time at school well let’s see if tomorrow's my day.
