Today we had one of our last Te Reo Maori Lessons for the year. It was a lot of fun and a fairly easy task. I worked with Mamarei to create a poster that had names of places in New Zealand in Te Reo. Enjoy :))

He aha te tae Makawe ~Te Reo Maori~

Today in Te Reo we learnt how to ask and tell people our hair color. I enjoyed this as it was fun and easy to learn. We also got to chose between doing a comic strip of video recording for our create task!

As I Saw it...

For this task we had to research things about life on Captain James Cook's ship 'The Endeavour' and life Maori people had on land. We looked at how there was more information about the British settlers than there were of the Maori people in NZ. It's Maori language week and this influenced this task we completed in buddies today!

Ko te aha tēnei rā? (Te Reo Maori)

This week the year 8's had Te Reo and kiwisport while the year 7's went to tech. In Te Reo we continued to pronounce and learn phrases. This week we looked at the days of the Week and the Months of the Year. I liked the song we sang while learning the Months of the year it's really funny and a catchy song to get stuck in your head in which it did. I loved doing this and my knowledge in Te Reo Maori has never grown so much!   :))

No Hea Koe ~Te Reo Maori~

Today, the year 7's went to tech, which means that we had Maori and sport for the year 8's. We learnt a new phrase 'Where are you from?'. I didn't make it to the classes, because of prefects, but completing the work, was a lot of fun and the video at the end helped us pronounce the words better.

Kei hea a Amo ~Te Reo Maori~

This week in moari, we learnt a few more phrases. I actually enjoyed this one, we had to fill in the blanks and at the end film a video. Firstly my pronunciation isn't the best because I speak three other languages that isn't moari make it my fourth language. Also I'm sorry if about how bad quality my video is but it's a fun skit to show my learning from today. I hope you still enjoy it!
