I am a Year 5 learner in rooms 9 and 10 at Pt England School in Auckland, NZ. My teachers are Mrs Buchanan and Miss West.
Hi Zaeeda,I think that it must have been a very difficult journey for our first settlers to make their way across the ocean and land in New Zealand. I'm sure that they were quite nervous about what they would experience and about what they would be expected to do. Hopefully they didn't have too many difficult situations to deal with and, hopefully, they behaved as well as they could and didn't do anything bad that got them into trouble.I have the utmost respect for the people who settled New Zealand. I think that they were very brave! What do you think? Do you think that you could have been a settler? Do you feel brave?I hope that you'll have time to read this post and answer it before you head back to school on Monday :)Cheers,Rachel
