    I agree with you! The rail trail is a great way to stay healthy and fit while enjoying the beautiful scenery on offer in the south island of New Zealand. I really hope that you are able to get down there one day to cycle the trail yourself. It is 150 km long and it can take you anywhere from 2 days to 7 days to complete it. I would recommend that you plan for 4-5 days because this gives you lots of time to cycle, stop and look at the scenery and enjoy your evenings at your accommodation.
