Favourite part so far

Basically, Greg has just kicked into another year at school, and it's hasn't been a normal. His life has been. His mum has also just punished him for telling lies. Apparently she has punished him for lie before and he deserved it, but this time it was just many misunderstandings. 

Who is in this story? 

Greg his family and just people that get included in his life. The newest member that has entered this book is Greg's Pen-pal like guy, that found a helium balloon it's this thing that his school does every year. His family also has pig now, from a road-trip they had a few books ago.

Setting

The setting is mostly in Greg's neighborhood, but from time to time he does change and go places. Mostly school like any child, his age.

What seems to be the plot

Well, like in all his other books, we are seeing what a teenager like Greg's life is in his own words. Basically how he'd rather play video-games than do anything and how school sucks for him and things like that. However not all kids are like that in real life.

Prediction

I predict that something will happen and it will either cause his mother, to lift her punishment on Greg. However we are yet to find that out. I am also waiting for Greg's best friend Rowely to make an appearance cause that hasn't happened yet either.

Favourite part so far
My favourite part of the book, is where Greg Heffely is talking about his Grandmother, and how she's the head of the family, and enjoys messing with the whole family. So far, it's going to be his uncles third wedding and so, they'll be having the reception at Greg's grandmother's house. But Greg is not looking forward to it because, his grandmother will most likely sit him down and give him a puberty talk. 

Who is in this story? 

Greg Heffley mostly and his family made up of five people. His parents two brothers and him. His Best friend Rowley and people in his neighborhood. This story has been based around his family most of the time, because Greg and his best friend Rowley have kind of been split up and going through some sort of feud.

Setting
The main setting is Greg's house, since it's based on a middle schooler's life there have been a few changes in setting. But usually it would be in Greg's neighborhood.

What seems to be the plot

It's seems to be telling us about, like in the title "THE UGLY TRUTH" so basically it talks about Greg, and how he growing up and life's changing. Stuff like that, but the author has made it entertaining and fun, by give Greg some quirky and interesting traits.

Prediction

I predict that Greg will most likely be forced to go to his uncle's wedding at his grandmothers house. However some sort of big even may happen, or something may big may happen. Maybe his Grandmother, does something, or causes something to happen. I'm not sure at this point but I'm guess that, whatever happen it will lead Greg and Rowley to hopefully become friends again. (Their fued has been going on since the last book).

My Family Hero

Every family has a hero. Someone who carries the family and provides each and every member with the care and love they need. The amazing person that always there for you and continues to support you. I didn't say a name but that person popped into your head did they.

In my family it's my mum. She amazing! She wakes up every morning at 3 am and goes to work. After a hard day at work, the fun has just begun. She finished at 3pm and if off to pick up her 3 children, 2 in primary and 1 in college.

After she's picked up her daughters, my mum then come home and does the house work. Cooking cleaning grocery shopping, vacuuming, you name it she does it. But even after all that she continues to smile and persevere, she never gives up or complains.



But it doesn't end there. Despite the fact that she already done so much, she has to do it all alone. My dad is barely home and when he is, he's getting plenty of rest. He's a mechanic and that means that he gets called out a lot, and he does many night jobs. So my mum has to do most of it alone, so she has to be quite on to it.

My mum is always there for me and my sisters, she helps my dad and even provides for our family. So in my eyes I see her as my hero. She saved me many times from rethink at school.

I have lately been reading the diary of the wimpy kid 13 book series. During the holidays my parents bought me the whole series so I started from book one which I was reading a few weeks ago. I am not up to book 4.

Favourite part so far
My favourite part of the story so far is when Greg and his best friend Rowley watch a horror movie. Now they are taking many precautions as they are scared that a muddy hand is going to murder them in there sleep. I find this quite hilarious as both characters seem scared out of there wits and have gone very far in order to be safe from the "muddy hand".

Greg Heffley mostly and his family made up of five people His parents two brothers and him. His Best friend Rowley and people in his neighborhood. He has mentioned this one really weird boy in his school and neighborhood his name is Fregely, from what I have read in the past 4 books is that Fregely has said some odd stuff to Greg, which kind of freaked him out.

Setting
The main setting is Greg's house as it's the summer holidays and he has been spending his time playing video games and sleeping in. However his mum has tried to get him including in many different activities like books clubs. Greg just doesn't seem interested, he always finds a way to weasel himself out, of the activities.

What seems to be the plot

Basically it's been telling us the summer holiday of this Middle-Schooler names Greg. He lives with his family his Mum, Dad, and 2 brother Manny and Rodrick.

Prediction

I'm predicting that either Greg's mum and dad get him a dog to look after. This is because the title says Dog Days, and his parents have been trying to get Greg engaged in something. But since Greg has different taste in things he just doesn't seem to take any responsibility for it. So if his parents get Greg a dog to look after he will learn how to take care of it and be responsible for giving the dog everything it need. (Pretty good Idea if you ask me, I've always wanted a dog, I used to have one. But it's kind passed away 2 years ago).

My favourite part so far it when Greg ,Rowley and his mom go to the haunted house he was super excited but go scared by someone wearing a chainsaw and started chasing him but that was cut short when Greg’s mom started telling off the guy. She made him apologize and show them the exit , Greg didn’t mind it this time round because he would have been mince meat if she didn’t.

The setting most of it is at his house and school you around the normal neighborhood but he talks about holidays and stuff like so the setting changes often

What seems to be the plot
I think that the plot in this book is to kind explain a middle schoolers life and show them that it’s not a piece of cake through comedy and adult fiction. I don't know where this book will lead to next, but I'm guessing it will share more funny and entertaining stories about Greg's life
