Today we had a girl called Jannah come see us. She talked to everyone about friendship and how we can help make and sometimes ruin friendships. She told us that her name meant (gracious gift) in arabic, that's like my name it means peace fortune and luck. Jannah told us about funny stories that happened to her and people she knows.
She talked mostly about friendships and things like that. She's really funny and really relatable. She can be really fun and got us to do things like say compliments and high five each other. She talked about things like all girl friendships and all guy friendships and how they are different and can sometimes benefit us. I was really suprised when she told us that we could learn some thing from the boys.
Another thing that she talked about were friendship myths. She talked about how all of us struggle not just one person and that we need to reach out and help people who feel like that. Jannah told us about a story where her friend Valentine became friends with everyone but didn't have many close friends. She told us to not try and be popular but have some friends.
Jannah also talked to us about things that can hurt and ruin friendships. When she talked about things like that, she mentioned back stabbing and mocking. Doing that can be funny sometimes but not all the time, espacially if you take it too far. Jannah also told us about this one time where she and her friend rented a scooter and her friend drove, when she wanted to drive it wasn't the best. We learnt not to show off because not everyone enjoys listening to you bragging and being extra confidents things like that.
The last thing she talked about was how to make friends, Jannah told us that we should be oursevles and try to get over thing like getting cut out of friend groups. She also talked about how we can make friends bu getting to know things and how we should treat each other nicely.
Overall I really enjoyed learning and laughing at this wonderful presentation. I can't wait till next time, and I really can't wait to try out some of the tips she gave us. I have also finished saying something positive to three people already. I can't wait till next time!
