Zaeeda-WLJ- # Week 2 Day 2 (Wominjeka)

Week 2
Day 2: Wominjeka

It's the second day of week two, and we have another activity. For this task we had to use our maths skills. I really enjoyed today it was just the right amount of challenging and it was some different!

Activity 2: Rights and Wrongs
For this task we were asked to find out how old Dr Jessa Rogers was when she received the award. She was born on 7 April 1985 and she received the award on 9 July 2010.

Dr Jessa Rogers - NCIS - ANUJessica became the first school principal and youngest (Aboriginal principal in Australia). She was the principal of a school in the far-north of Queenstown, Cape York Girl Academy for young mums and babies. Jessica was rewarded with the NAIDOC Youth of the Year award in 2010, has gone on to win many more awards and write several books all because her work has improved several indigenous educations.

The answer to this mathematical question is 25 year 3 months and 2 days old. I know this because....

Equation) 2010-1985=25

So we know that she was 25 years old. I then added on months to the date, because that's how long it's been after her birthday and how long it's been after she turn 25 years old.

April + 3 months = June
7 April + 2 days= 9th April
So in total we have 25 years 3 months and 2 days old.
So Jessica was 25 year 3 months and 2 days old when she received the award.

That brings us to an end of day 2, of week too. This is the last week of the holidays :(. I'm looking forward to school; kind of. But for now, let's finish these activities to the best possible, standards we can.
