Hello there reader welcome to the last day of the summer learning journey, Enjoy!
Activity 3:Concluding the Journey
Well this is the end for the summer learning journey I had so much fun this summer I can't wait to do more I wish there were more activites but everything must to an end sooner or later. I HOPE YOU ENJOYED!
Activity 1: Enviroment day- Beat Plastic Pollution
my family has a bin which actually has three sections waste, plastic/glass and paper which makes it easier to sort we put the waste in the red bin and glass plastic and paper into the yellow or blue bin and the cardboard we give it to our dad who flattens it and when he has to do spray painting and greases work he puts it down and reuses it. So that's what my family does to save the enviroment so what about you.
Activity 2: Adoption Day
I would love to have a pet or adopt some animal but my parents don't really like the idea of me have more pets after have 9 budgies and a dog!

Welcome to the second to last day of the summer learning journey, I hope you enjoy!
Activity 1: Campaigning for Conservation
Coming up with a slogan was actually harder than I thought but it was not that fact of it sounding good because I kept focusing on it rhyming it was actually to focus on what it meant my sister helped me think about it and then we figured it out!
Activity 1: Campaigning for Conservation
Coming up with a slogan was actually harder than I thought but it was not that fact of it sounding good because I kept focusing on it rhyming it was actually to focus on what it meant my sister helped me think about it and then we figured it out!
The Slogan I came up with for the Forest and Bird New Zealand is
LISTEN TO NATURE VOICE
Activity 2: The Plastic Pledge
I think that it's not a bad idea to stop plastic bags because it means less pollution but not all plastic in the waste is plastic bags there are also plastic bottles and gladwrap and thing like that and some of the stuff is really usefull I think that we need to find a way to recycle all the plastic.
My mum thinks there is a minature problem you know how people carry around some reusable bags but you have to by them and from grocerie stores. So what if someone has $300 worth of groceries it not like there gonna go and by reusable bags for a $1.20 each from pak 'n save.
Activty 3: Restricted Acess
I think that we is not fair that tourist can't go there it kind of remind me of how they use to break of stalactites to give to the tourist in the waitomo cave but they saw that it take millions of year to grow back they stopped breaking them off and were not allowed to touch them either. anyways I think that it not fair but I also know if for a good reason and there a plenty of site so I think that we should be considerate and let the Machu Picchu get better instead of worse.
I hope you enjoyed todays post and there is only 1 more post of the summer learning journey so stay tuned and feel free to look at any of the other post from the first day!

Dear Reader welcome back to another day of the summer learning journey, Enjoy!
Activity 1:Predator Free 2050 – A Call to Arms
Activity 1:Predator Free 2050 – A Call to Arms
Out of the three vidoes I watched I picked the first video. I picked this video because they are working to protect our native birds and wildlife from predetors such as possums and Stoats. I also like this video because they are actually using engineering and technology too catch the predators, I have always like the idea of engineering at school I am in this robotics thing and we are trying to help our pollution problem by engineering with actual engineers from fisher and paykel healthcare. Another reason I like this video because they are not using poison and dropping them in the bushes because this was on the News a while a go they were dropping 1080 in the bushed which is irresponsible and dangerous, it's also pretty harsh on the predators it not there fault it in there nature!
Activity 2: Protecting the Most Vulnerable - Fact or Fiction?
I have created a small quiz you have to pick which statements are true and false!
1. Maui dolphins are almost are super close to extinction
2. Maui dolphins are found all over the world
3. There use to be about 1500 maui dolphins in 1970
4. Maui Dolphins eat seaweed from the ocean floor
5. Female Maui Dolphins are can grow up to 1.7 metres and weigh up to 50 kgs
6. Maui Dolphins population can grow very easily
Activity 3: The Power of Ten
If I could save 10 animals or plants it would be these
1. Maui Dolphin
2. Long Finned Eels
3. Koalas
4. Kiwi
5. pandas
6. Asian Elephant
7. Great Barrier Reef
8. Te Kouk
9. New Zealand Fern
10. Venus Flytrap
That's all for today and there is still to more days of the summer learning journey but I will still post after the summer learning journey just not as often! Enjoy!

Welcome back to another day of the summer learning journey, let's get started!
Activity 1: Fly Fox
If I had to the chance to go ziplining in Rotorua I would feel so lucky because I know that rotorua is a beatiful place and has alot of outdoor activities and you and you family would love to enjoy in the summer. I would also feel my stomach has very very fluttery butterflies in it because I have never ziplined before and I am a little afraid of heights!
Activity 2: A Protective Plant
If I had to list ten thing that I would plant in my garden it would be
1. cherry Guava 6. Lettuce
2. Watermelon 7. Esparagus
3. Coriander 8. Silver beet
4. Strawberry 9. Betroot
5.Cumbern 10. Tomato
Activity 3: A House Not A Home
The project I picked was the Lansan Trees in the Caribbeans. I picked this one we have used Lansan tree for many reasons and if anything has happened to them I want to know about it and see if I help in anyway. Apparently this speices of trees are close to extinction and we need to look after them, we are losing them dew to derforestation and in my earlier posts I have talked about how I fell about deforestation!
So that is all for today I hope you enjoyed and I can't wat to post again tommorrow!

1. What inspired you to use reused materials for your fashion
2. When did you start designing

Activity 2: Guardians Of The Sea
I don't mean to be disrespecful or anything but I don't think that taniwha actually exist because it would be unlikely for it to live in the waikato river as it is polluted and it's a legend which also reffered to as a fairy tale. I think that this kind of thing is something that only you can decided on if you think that taniwha exist then too you they do exsit but to me they don't.
Activity 3: The Sky in Shanghai
it sometimes makes me nervous
That this place needs some service
as the air is too polluted and is not suited for us
I do feel sad for the people as it shouldn't be legal
Pollute the air any longer
and the problem will only get stronger!
That's all for today I hope you enojoyed tune in again tommorrow for another post!

Welcome to another wonderful day of the summer learning journey, Hope you enjoy!
Activity 1: Persistent pollution
Climage lead to a rising of temprature which then cause air pollution too and that means we have to deal with three problems that will just keep getting worse.
I also learnt thar smog is a type of air pollution and air pollution is made from both natural problems like volcanic eruptions and fire but mostly from human activity.
Smog is a serious type of air pollution and can cause serious damage to us and the enviroment. There a 2 type of smog we get it sulfurous smog when we burn fossil fuel into coal, photochemical smog come from car factories and powerplants.
Activity 2: Let it rain
A few things I do when it's raining is play board games with my sister even though she always wants to win it's still fun. Another thing I like to do when it rains is help mum do some cooking we help by chopping the ingredients for the salad it's really nice. I also like to watch a nice movie and eat some popcorn. When it rains I also like to sort out my wardrobe and clean out my room and stuff like that. But when it doesn't rain very hard I like to take a walk in the rain.
Activity 3: Let It Rain
A few days ago it seemed beautiful outside or the plants had life and were happy, but now all that has changed. Yesterday I knew there would be rain at some point but I didn't know that it was gonna be this serious. This morning I woke up had a pretty normal morning but as soon as I walked outside my mouth feel wide open. I was shocked every thing look lifeless I didn't know what to do. I called my family outside and I saw the same reaction. There was nothing in sight for miles we saw the same reaction came from our neighbours. We turned on the tv to the News and saw that it was all over New Zeland. A few of us paniced and my mum called her friends and family from other countries to see if there ok too! I was still shocked and was hoping this was all a bad dream!
That's all for the Summer Learning Journey, my next post will me next week Enjoy

Activity 3: Crazy Cool Clouds
The picture I picked is picture 2. I think the cloud looks like a spinning top or a tournado but it does look kind of weird because there aren't many clouds around it. It's also blocking out the sun so the town below would probably think there about get rain. The cloud reminds me of an early morning walk!
So that's all for today I hope you enjoyed see you next time!

Welcome back to another wonderful day of the summer learning journey, enjoy!
Activity 1: Bird Of The Year
The Bird I have chosen is the Kokako for my description.
A Kokako are found in both New Zealand Islands, but North island Kokako have blue wattle on both sides of there necks. Subspecies are found in the South island and they have orange wattles One of the first European settlers named the North Island bird the Blue Wattle Crow due to its Curiousity.
Kokako are forest birds they eat mixed Kauri and Podocarp despite the fact that their habitat includes shrub lands. Kokako are not at flying but there legs are very strong which allows them to make it through the forest very quickly.
Kokako feed on leaves fruit and insects but Kokako can adapt on there diets as the food change when the Seasons do. Kokako eat fruit juicy berriers when it's Autum and Spring. When berriers and fruit aren't avalible they eat leaves and insects.
I think this bird is very amazing because it eats leave and that would be very useful to have this bird around when you have to rake up the leaves!
Activity 2: Flying Foxes
If I could have a super it would be the power to predict the future. I would like to have this super power because then I help save people from making sad choices, I would be able to know when something bad is about to happen like a car crash or a fire. Then again this might not be the best super power because people probably wouldn't believe you and stuff like that but I still like the idea of having to predict the future how about you!
Activity 3: Wind Beneath My Wings
I Hope you enjoy I can't wait to do more blogging come back tommorrow for more!

Welcome back to another great day of the summer learning journey let's get started!
The number of bumblebees is declining in New Zealand due to a number of factour including the removal of wildflowers and flowing trees, habitat loss and extensive use of pesticides.
Activtiy 1: Bee Informed
The Word (bumble bee) is a compound word (Bumble + Bee). The word (bumble) means to hum, buzz or drone.
Bumblebees can fly very quickly. They can reach ground speeds of 54 kilometres per hour (km/h).
Bumblebees are very strong! They carry up to 90% percent of their body weight in food with them to avoid starvation.
Bumblebees can do more work and carry more pollen than other bees, including honeybees. In fact, they can do up to 50 times as much work as a normal honeybee.
